ADi: 1.0 Released / Upcoming Multisite Support / Sync Back & Bulk Import March 25th, 2011

On 23th of March I release version 1.0 which includes a lot of fixes and some new functionality. Among others you can now read any possible attribute from Active Directory and show their values on the user profile page. But there is still much to do.

Multisite Support

Mulitsite support is the most frequently requested feature and I will look very, very soon about. If you have special request you can drop a feature request on the official ADi Bugtracker http://bt.ecw.de/view.php?id=4.

Sync Back & Bulk Import

Right now I am working on two new features: Sync Back and User Bulk Import. Sync Back gives you the ability to change attributes read from Active Directory and write them back. So users can change informations like their phone number on their own.

The Bulk Import let’s you import members of a security group (for example by use of a cron job) and create them in WordPress.

I hope the finish the work on these two features within the next days and release them in version 1.1. Then I start work on the multi-site support immediatly.

Stay tuned.

Hi,
i have a litlle problem with your plugin. I can’t automatically create users. Every time i have this error: File does not exist: C:/wamp/www/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/active-directory-integration/images, referer: http://10.10.40.110/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/active-directory-integration/css/adintegration.css?ver=1.7.1

I don’t understand because this files have never exist and at the begining the plugin works.

Thanks

Hi nOon,
ok there is a possible bug in the css. Please give the current development version a try and let me know if this fixed your problem.

n0on, the wordpress.org server is slow. So wait a few minutes before you try to download the development version.

I am trying to get this working on my campus. I cannot get it to authenticate. The log file does not really give me much information.

Any tips on troubleshooting an installation?

Moin!
Please send me (christoph.steindorff@ecw.de) the output of the test tool and I’ll see what I can do for you to get it to work.

I am trying to get the ad fields to work in the user meta.

givenname:string:first_name
sn:string:last_name
mail:string

This is what I currently have, however, the First Name and Last Name fields aren’t populated – is this the correct format?

Thanks in advance

Hi, great work! This plugin is really awesome.
But I have one question:

To create a new user in wp automaticly he has to log in manually for ONE TIME. Then the user is created and afterwards the SSO works.

Is there a way to auto create a user without login in for one time?

Thanks in advance.

Michael
